The She Leads Africa team hosted a thank you dinner for the volunteers. The dinner was at Browns cafe in VI-  brown's cafe. The food was really nice and they served their fruit salad on skewers.  I think this was a cool and nice 'different' idea. Sorry I do not have pictures.

I got this pretty dress from Eve and tribe as well for volunteering. A big thank you to the She Leads Africa Team :).

She Leads Africa

Hi again :)

Last weekend I volunteered for an event called She Leads Africa (entrepreneur showcase). It is basically for female entrepreneurs looking to build and grow Pan-African businesses and investors looking for the best talent and ideas. You can find out more information on facebook, twitter and instagram. Just search she leads africa and enjoy :)

I volunteered at the final event on Saturday( the 20th) and was all over the venue so could not listen to all the pitches. I was very impressed with some participants, they had some amazing ideas. Some people are actually so creative and business oriented. I would love to talk about the pitches but that will be an extremely long post and do not think I'm up for it atm.

Now bumz is trying to think of a good business idea and you never know, she just might be a participant at the event next year. Watch this space xxxx

Foodie

Hi everyone! Hope you had a good week. I'm quite behind with my blog posts but will fix it up today. In this post, I shall be talking about this lovely restaurant called Casa Lydia in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Casa Lydia is at No 19, Glover Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. It's a small and cosy restaurant. It would be a nice date spot ;)

I'm so embarrassed to say this but I did not take any pictures of my meals. Such a novice, not because I was too hungry X_X. But trust me, it was amazing. I went on a thursday evening with my friend, funmi who left this morning for her masters course. Going to miss her personality( she understands lol) :(. She goes there alot and should have a loyalty card tbh.

I ordered the spicy chicken wings as my starter (insert picture here lol) and their Seafood Tageyeri as my main with a glass of freshly squeezed orange & pineapple juice. Yumm! Anyone that knows me knows how much i LOVEEE seafood and pasta. Prawns, squid, lobster, fish, crab etc. I can actually live on pasta, it is that bad!  Infact I really pity people that are allergic to seafood because they are really missing out!

The seafood tageyeri was DIVINE! The right amount of cream and pepper. Casa Lydia definitely won me over. I guess you just have to trust my judgement with the pasta but i will definitely take pictures for my next food related post. Casa Lydia, BUMZ WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. Toodles :)

SUNDAY

Hi! This post is inspired by my service today at church. I go to the Elevation church in Lekki. Actually just started going a few weeks ago and will definitely recommend it to anyone that is church hunting.

My church is currently doing a series for singles and married people, definitely worth having a look at --http://elevationng.org/

Just going to share a few things that stuck with me. Disclaimer: This is not a relationship blog and I’m not a relationships expert. So yahhh….

What ‘hit’ me today at church was something the guest pastor said. He said if you can NOT maintain a friendship, how can you maintain a relationship and eventually a marriage. This got me thinking…. Maintaining a friendship is actually not very easy. It requires a lot of trust, understanding, patience, compromise etc. Everyone has their flaws, it is human nature really. NOBODY IS PERFECT… A ‘perfect’ friendship is NOT possible and does not exist.

My point is you really can’t be friends with everyone, treasure the friends you have(they are in your life for a reason) and be a friend you would want to have.

Hope everyone has a lovely & blessed week xxx
